Popes Lane to close for resurfacing during May half-term

Popes Lane, between the junctions of South Ealing Road and Olive Road will, be closed to traffic whilst Scottish & Southern Energy resurfaces the carriageway following their cable laying works. The works have a planned duration of three days and will take place during the May school half term period, from Tuesday 31st May to Thursday 2nd June. It is envisaged that the closure will only take place during the daytime (approximately 9am to 4pm), however, on the day when the tarmac is laid, the time will be dependent on the temperature as the tarmac needs to cool off before it can be driven on.
Advance warning signs will be erected later this week and a letter will also be issued in the area. As the closure will be between the morning and evening peaks, Ealing Council do not anticipate any major disruption during the works.
