We asked, you responded – To stop future encampments on the Common, would you like to see any of the follow around the perimeter?

Between late November 2017 and January 2018 we asked several thousand residents living on or near Ealing Common (the green open space) their thoughts on the traveller encampment issue.  Here is the response:

As you may have read in local literature distributed last week that council candidate, Barry Hartness, together with Cllr Joanna Dabrowska went to the Secretary of State for Communities, Rt Hon. Sajid Javid, with a proposal on changing the law regarding illegal encampments, registration of caravans, imposing fines, impounding vehicles due to non-payment, etc.
