[Green] fingers crossed for plenty of trees for The Common

The local park ranger messaged Cllr Joanna Dabrowska to say that an application has been made for 80 trees from the Greener City Fund, for Ealing Common and surrounding streets.

This is to include:

– Extending the ‘Edible Landscape’ (10 fruit trees planted at the end of 2017, which the Ealing Common Society obtained funding for)
– Specimen trees for the east section of the common by the station, which has lost quite a few over the last 10+ years
– Many others dotted around the common, including a few on the smaller ‘islands’.

So please keep your green fingers crossed!
